Does this piece conjure up the beginning of Autumn where there are a few green plants left (even flowers), but a lot of the other plants are going brown and hazel and brownish-green? For me, this piece reminds me of September (as it appears to me in upstate NY where winters come on early). I love the look of it, where there will be blooming roses, and then right next to it, plants that have already been shocked by the cold, or a light front, and where the leaves are taking on a golden hue.
These pieces are meant for home and office decor. Imagine a large canvas print at the foot of the bed, with two matching small pillows and a solid colored duvet matching one of the greens or reds in this piece. I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
