It looks like a sugar coating. It was the first snow of the season, at the beginning of December before the heavier snows break the goldenrod stems (and where they all lean to the ground).
This is one of my favorite views in Saratoga County in all seasons.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
