This is a variation on an art piece I made featuring millefleurs (many flowers in the Renaissance tradition). I thought the design might also lend itself to Autumn colors, so I decided to give it a whirl.
Featured are 5 butterflies of different varieties and foliage in yellow, gold and straw. The flowers are orange colored.
These pieces are made with tapestry and home decor in mind and would look great in a room which features golds, yellow, oranges and straw colors. Some blue accents (like plain cobalt colored pillows) in the room could be used to offset all of the warm colors. I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
