This is part of "the bouquet series" that I started in 2011. Featured is a bouquet of flowers with some cosmos in it with various foliage and weeds. This piece was completed in 2016.
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
