This is a view on one of the little outcroppings in Acadia National Park between Sand Beach and Otter Cliffs. You still see land off in the far distance and there is a also what appears to be a peninsula poking through one of the trees (probably that body of land is Great Head).

Some of the evergreen trees have reddish brown cones on them.

I sharpened and saturated this photograph quite a bit to give it some drama (the original looked rather flat in the midday sun). The result is that it may look a little pix-elated in bigger sizes, so I am only offering it up to an 22" x 30" size.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
