This piece is an altered photograph from an original sculpture that I created and conceived. The relief sculpture was originally round, and had the stars going around them in a kind of rim. I took some liberties to create an art piece that kept the elements of the sculpture, while at the same time making it a new and creative piece.
Two celestial-type angels come together in an exceptionally windy sky to communicate. I wondered how two angels might communicate, and came up with the idea that maybe they would do so through via kissing stars.

angels: beings of light, enlightenment, illumination, compassion, light of the divine, higher evolution
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
