I wanted to add a design to my blue period pieces, which regularly feature doves (not this one), but it has some glow and effervescence like some of those pieces. It is definitely a night scene.

I made this piece for home décor products (pillows, blankets, round beach towels, duvets and shower curtains - all available in my shop in the drop-down menus).

Blue, symbolically, is said to calm. Yellow is supposed to evoke excitement, inspiration and thought. White is supposed to evoke thoughts of enlightenment, purity and innocence. To me, this spells dreaming.

For mixing and matching, the blue background is: #012fe5
The yellow background is: #fafb00
The white has a tinge of yellow in it: #f9f9ef

This is my original design, concept, and art work.

In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums.
