Featured is a butterfly in the center of a tulip-like flower. The background is floral in black and white, and the butterfly, in some ways, resembles the background.

The idea was to produce something that is graphic-like.

The original drawing is quite small, around 4 inches times 6 inches and it is framed to an 8 x 10. Please contact me if you are interested in the painting.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
