In this piece, three firebirds have been reborn in the night (which they are supposed to do, according to legend). The are arising from the ashes and flames (on the ground), above five white rabbits who have gathered around to see the spectacle.

The scene takes place in an opening in a forest with a dark cobalt or ultramarine blue sky. There is a hill, a lake, three birch trees, trees and bushes in the distance, and a horizon just beyond the lake. Different plants and foliage rim the outside of the piece.

* firebirds: transformation, regenerating capabilities, reincarnation, rebirth, rising from a troubling time, rising from the dead, done with old challenges and onto new challenges, done with the old way of life and onto a new way of life, strength, courage
* white rabbits: love, magical manifestations, gaining spiritual knowledge, brighter future, the female (nurturing part) in all of us
* birch trees: new beginnings, regeneration, renewal, hope, promising future
* lake: emphasis on emotions, doorway to another world
* forest clearing: study, contemplation, respite, gathering place, a place for enlightenment, associated with the mother and the feminine
* night: the unconscious, mystery, unrevealed truths, can mean a dark period (but with a clearing and illuminated part of the picture, more about awakening to the light within).
