Hello Lise. Another wonderful scene from ancient myth, this time from Russia, Ukraine and the Balkans. Did you have Slavic myth in mind? The beautiful magical firebird. Spectacular painting of a mythical creature we don't always think of, in a culture overwhelmed with mermaids, fairies and flying horses. :-) Beautiful painting and rendition. I love it!

Wow....what an awesome burst of color flaming, rocketing through the night sky. I dearly love those reds and yellows set against a navy back ground...sweet work worthy of the gold medal....Lise dear, the touches of lavender are just perfect l.v.f.
