Goldenrod takes on a whole new life in winter. Its hitherto golden yellow flowers look white, especially with some added snow, and the branches and leaves go from green to brown. It is still a lovely plant in all seasons.
In this photo, the goldenrod surrounds the tree in a half circle (pretty unusual)!

About Lise Winne
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
