In this piece, I went for an earthy batik monochromatic look for a garden. There are other variations of this piece in purple, green and other colors in the "tapestry" collection on my website.
I made this piece, and pieces like it, with home decor in mind.
For instance, you could have a canvas print on the wall, some small solid colored matching pillows, one large matching pillow in this design, and a blanket throw with this design - for a bedroom, for instance.

About Lise Winne
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
