In this piece the unicorn is illuminated with moonlight. He seems awake and vigilant.
Symbolism:
the unicorn symbolizes purity, healing, the spiritual, healing sorrows and banishing poisons from life. The unicorn is especially enamored with faire maidens and is known to purify water.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
