This is one of the most popular pieces I have made (besides "Scapegoat Healing" which has a similar style).
Featured is a unicorn at rest in the millefleurs (translation: many flowers) with a hummingbird hovering ahead. This piece was done in the tradition of "The Lady and the Unicorn", a tapestry from the Renaissance era. In fact, this unicorn is more in keeping with the olde style (a cross between a goat-like creature and a horse-like creature), and not the new style where a horse has a horn.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
