Description
Daylilies usually appear on the side of the road, and this is no exception, except they are on a street in front of some bushes that are thick and are a replacement for a yard fence. The day lilies reached right out to the street.
I thought the contrast between the light orange flowers and its light green leaves was beautiful. And especially in the late afternoon sun.
This photograph was taken in upstate New York in Saratoga County in the summer of 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. You'd never know it. Getting out in nature is, I believe, how I survived it, and how I could avoid knowing it was there. I took more photos in that year than ever before, thinking they might be studies for paintings, but I like them just the way they are.
