A fairy gives blessing from her book to another fairy. Meanwhile visitors arrive: a cat hiding in the bushes, a green and yellow grosbeak type of bird, and three butterflies.

symbolism:
* butterflies: transformation, change, the spirit
* grosbeak: the quest for something bold, boldness
* cat: rebirth, resurrection, unpredictability
* yellow flowers: joy, light-heartedness, happiness
* white flowers: modesty, innocence, spiritual
* fairies: a legendary or supernatural nature spirit from Europe. Fairies have wings in many varieties, and are typically found with light orbs. According to Wikipedia: "The word 'fairy' was used to represent an illusion, or enchantment; the land of the Faes; collectively the inhabitants thereof; or an individual such as a fairy knight." Magic, enchantment, a deep connection with the natural world and the spiritual world.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
