This design is part of a series inspired by French folk art design and features four butterflies, two of each variety, some beige heart shaped leaves, swirls, ferns and some dark green dots. It is all bordered with a triple border design.

The main color in this design is viridian green (a kind of sea green ... the green has some blue in it). Other colors include dark green (almost black), beige (or flesh-colored leaves), and a kind of orange or brick red.

The piece is a combination of drawing, painting and digital art. It is meant to be a home decor piece in an old style (or ye olde style).

The watermark in the lower right does not appear on any prints or products (for on-line display only).

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
