Depicted is a unicorn resting in grass with a backdrop of yellow roses. He is also surrounded by white butterflies. This piece takes after the Unicorn tapestries of the Renaissance ages where unicorns were half goat and half horse and had flowers around them.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. I have shown my work in galleries and through juried shows at art centers and museums. Some notables include The Delaware Art Museum, Haverford Center of the Arts,...

I love early European and Renaissance tapestry art and these unicorn paintings are perfectly reminiscent of those early designs. They are just beautiful Lise. Somehow it always opens the imagination looking at these two new unicorn works.
Lise Winne replied:
Thank you so much, Robert! Glad they sparked your imagination!
