This piece is part of my blue period series.
Featured are hot pink flowers with green leaves and a turquoise diamond against a navy background. The hot pink really stands out! This is for the type of client who likes old world designs such as wrought iron fences, intricate border designs, delicate nuances, but with a bold splash of modern color!
In color symbolism and psychology, navy blue is a conservative color (think suits and corporate America, keeping your nose to the grind-stone, stability, expertise), while hot pink is the color of passion, sensual love, anything but calming.
So the meaning of the two colors contrast.
Ornate has symbolic connotations of "fitting in with nature", "a proponent of the natural world" with its twisting brambles, vines and leaves. It can also be a symbol of "plenty" in terms of "the old Victorian" where people of means made their homes as ornate as possible to show off their wealth.
The diamond is sort of a portal to the ornate world.
Should you need matching products, the outside navy blue color is #02217c and the hot pink is #f834ba.
Most home decor products (pillows, bedspreads, shower curtains), do not have my signature with the exception of tapestries. All other products do.
