Featured is a landscape at night with the stars out with three white butterflies in the empty spaces where a flowering plant grows pink, yellow and white flowers. The border is also heavily floral with tiny white blossoms, it separates the scene with the white butterflies from a darker night. The vines with the little white flowers also create an arch.
This piece is part of a series of paintings I am producing of white butterflies.
This piece is dedicated to Robert Winne (my father), Sally Bouton, and Albert Bigelow. Thoughts of Dennis Kallimanis and William Foltin also occurred during the making of this piece

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
