As I was walking in the woods on state land in October, I came across this . It looked like a path in the woods. I followed it and it didn't really go anywhere. Perhaps in some distant past it had a destination, maybe to the stream below, or to the rock wall I discovered a half mile away.
I loved how the grey sky and the spruce green made the colorful leaves all the brighter. It is a classic woodland photo.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
