Description
This is about as realistic as I get in terms of painting. I wanted to enter a show about farms and farm animals in my area, and painted a number of sheep paintings and chicken paintings, none with a fantasy theme (yes, I am known for fantasy art and storybook art, and since 2012, I have not returned to this style of painting). Still, this painting is a worthy part of my portfolio to show that I am capable of putting out work like this. Still, I'd rather be painting vines and intricacies, and situations that are far-fetched.
This painting and the others in this series were done in 2012. This is considered to be a portrait. The original is 8" x 10" and is for sale. Please e-mail me if interested.
Featured is a sheep who is so woolly as to seem top-heavy. He is in a field in-between some lilies. He seems contented and happy as he looks towards the viewer.

* lilies (tiger lilies): wealth, humility
