This is part of a series and started out as a simple black and white drawing. From there it became two separate paintings, one actual and the other one digital. From there, I created other variations of this design: art for the child, and home decor art (for the products on my site and for possible book or CD cover designs).

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
