Featured is a design for Christmas, and part of my "bouquet series". Used primarily for Christmas cards, it featured a plaid bow, some ornaments, carnations, pine cones and pine boughs (or snippings from a pine bush).
The design also features a border of red carnations, pine cones and silver-dipped geranium dried flowers.
This design was conceived in 2016 and completed in 2018.
SYMBOLISM:

* pine cones: enlightenment

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
