I captured how Goldenrod looks in October in my portfolio. This is how it looks in November. The leaves have turned to a reddish brown, and the background trees no longer have colored leaves (they have all blown down and flown away). So it is a much more monochromatic landscape, with subtler details than we find in October.
The clear blue (almost turquoise) sky adds some contrast. Sometimes November can be nothing but gray skies.
This was taken on Saratoga Hospital's empty lot, some beautiful acres of wild land inside the city limits. There is a fight going on in city hall to save this piece of land from development. www.SaveMorganStreet.com gives some of the details.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
