I put the red border in because I thought it contributed to the Renaissance feeling of the piece, and for some home decor options where you can have a green border, internally framed by a red border.
For customization, which this site offers, the red is: #ca1451, and the green is: #194f37
It has also been slightly changed from the original in that I gave this piece slightly more contrast and slightly less saturation of color.
The original size of the piece was 9" x 12" and is a combination of tradition mediums and digital art mediums.
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
