For this piece, I wanted a mystical unruly garden in the night sky. The little white dots appear to be like fireflies among the plants and flowers. Everything seems to be pronounced against the darker backdrop.
I made this piece and others like it with home decor in mind: a large canvas print with two matching pillows, for instance, or a duvet cover, with small matching pillows.
This piece might lend itself to the mystically inclined, or for people who love weeds as much as gardens (the unruly garden), or who are inclined to like nature in its wild and untrimmed state.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
