This is a wider vista of the same landscape I have taken of the first December snowfall of 2021. There is a dusting of snow, and at this juncture it was beginning to melt. It looks like confectionary sugar here.
Soon all of these plants would be covered, falling to the round by the weight of the snow.
But before that could happen, they are still standing straight up, providing some texture to the landscape.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
