This photograph was taken on a so called "empty lot" (too beautiful and with views to be called that) presently owned by Saratoga Hospital. The hospital is trying to ram through changing the zoning for office buildings and a parking garage on the land, plus parking spaces for 300 cars. It is one of the few pieces of wild land left in the city of Saratoga Springs, NY.
My desire was to photograph it in its natural state before it might all be taken down.
Much of the land has beautiful views.
Featured are oak trees, maple trees, pine trees, birch trees, sumac, goldenrod, milkweed, heather and a some weeds too.
This photo was taken in Saratoga County, New York, USA.
Activists: to keep this land from being another lot for parking and offices (especially when there is "other land" they own for those purposes and is being used already), contact SaveMorganStreet.com.

My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece. I have shown my work in galleries and through juried shows at art centers and museums. Some notables include The Delaware Art Museum, Haverford Center of the Arts,...
