Art inspired by the Renaissance, Celtic knots, fantasy art, and storybooks. I create traditional paintings, digital art and photograph knights, fair maidens, fairies, bagpipers, flowers and a few meadows too.

This piece was conceived after I had finished doves like this in black india ink on bright white paper. This is a painted version I tried.
The dove is a popular theme in my work and stands for peace, sacrifice for a message, and messages from the spirit, at least in terms of symbolism. The symbolic meaning of lace is innocence, purity and new beginnings with an old world flair. When the two meanings are combined, you have something akin to purity of intention in terms of sacrifice for a message of peace from the spirit inside us and outside us.
This will probably be the end of this series. The painted version was an experiment.
Looks great in a white frame or on white home products (home products available here in my store).
The original is a 9" x 12" painting on panel. It is in a white frame which sets off the dove in a magical way. The blue is slightly darker than it is depicted here. If you are interested in the original, contact me.

I have shown my work in galleries and through juried shows at art centers and museums. Some notables include The Delaware Art Museum, Haverford Center of the Arts,...
