Description
You can see the sun setting behind the tree trunk on the right. There is a little bit of light splashing out.
This was photographed in a farm field at dusk. Storm clouds were moving in and there is a jet streak just above the tree on the right.
When the sun was completely down, there was still a lot of light. This Manx kitty was rubbing up against my legs in the driveway, and I could still see everything: her eyes, hairs, ears, entire body. This was 9:00 in the evening. It is so odd how long the light lasts there. I have often thought of it as a "magical place" and this is just one of the magical things that I see (as well as one of the places in upstate NY where you can see the Aurora Borealis - in more subtle terms than in Alaska, of course). The sky seems so expansive there.
This photograph was taken in Saratoga County, NY in 2020.
