For this piece, I went for glowing gold. It's like an abstract version of the sun, perhaps fit for the sun king, Louis the XIV ... or you. This piece is inspired by jewelry with the center piece being turquoise and white stone (perhaps moonstone, howlite or scolecite) with intricate lace-like gold work on top, perhaps small red rubies or red jasper here and there, and gold on the outside of the main center with embedded rubies! We can use our imaginations!
I originally conceived of this piece for home decor, primarily pillows. Because of the glowing elements, it might also look good with a matching canvas print in the wall.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio.
