So imaginative Lise! This one is my fave from your bouquet series, a great album. Your creative way of arranging these flower and plant pieces is a delight! Very clever and inspirational! Such fun & light hearted. I looked at your blog too, brosed recent additions. Nice job! V/Fav/twt/FB/ PAMELA

Lise Winne replied:

Thank you so much, Pamela, all the way around (blog and piece-fav'd). You do me honors!

Artist's Description

This was an attempt to make a flower bouquet into a person using flower arranging and a kind of collage method to make the figure. The pine needles serve as a skirt, the bouquet serves as a head, the violets serve as hands, and the lilacs serve as feet.

I can see this in a child's bedroom, a nursery, or in a hospital room. What do you think?

This piece is from "The Bouquet Series", something I started in 2011 as a sideline and it grew from there (no pun intended!). Some of the series can be viewed on my blog: http://lisewinne.blogspot.com/2016/02/photo-bouquet-series.html

About Lise Winne

Lise Winne

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece. I have shown my work in galleries and through juried shows at art centers and museums. Some notables include The Delaware Art Museum, Haverford Center of the Arts,...
