Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This piece looks a bit like an oriental rug, doesn't it? Only perhaps a little brighter. At any rate, if you own an oriental rug, this design might go with it - as pillows, duvet, tapestry or blanket, or even a matching canvas print on the wall.
Featured is a continuous vine with furls that goes around the whole piece. The furls are a light yellow lined with turquoise. Some of the inner branches get the same treatment. There are two kinds of leaves in this piece: small ones that come to a point, mainly located towards the center, and long ones with a central line down the middle of them. The center has a small tan diamond. There are also white dots throughout. Maybe seeds, maybe pollen, maybe just fillers - you decide.

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums.
