Description
This is the first piece I have tackled that features fantasy figures for home decor products: pillows, duvets, blankets, etc., perhaps with a matching print on the wall too.
In this piece, the firebirds are in a symmetrical format: they are upside down and right side up. From far away, the birds look like a big reddish-orange flower coming from the greenery. In this way they are a little more subtle than if they were the main focus.
Featured are firebirds in openings with greenery. They haven't burned the greenery, and perhaps are just passing through, and captured in flight in the openings. There is a diamond shape in the center of the design as well as a light green border full of swirls.
Firebirds, symbolically, represent eternity, but the caveat here is that there are many deep transformations. It continuously goes through the cycle of a kind of near-death, to rebirth and rises from the ashes from the fire to fly again. One lifetime of a firebird represents 50 times approximately the life span of a mortal human being. Therefore, it is wise and takes a long view of circumstances and the state of the world. The Egyptians honored this "fantasy bird". The Russians thought of it as rare, and therefore a good omen. They also believed you could kill a firebird, but that there would be dreadful consequences for doing it.
In some cultures, firebirds have great healing powers, especially if their tears fall upon you. The tears can revive you from any injury, even death.
In terms of dream symbolism, firebirds are a very auspicious sign in terms of recovery. They are also likely to bring you good luck.
Diamond shapes are symbolic of the earth, the sun, and life. It is also the symbol for commitment. The brown, red dots and light blue of the center would also mean a commitment to home life and peace and a tolerance for occasional flare-ups.
Green leaves represent hope, renewal, fertility and revival.
Swirls and vines represent the seasons, and the path of life: birth, growth, death and reincarnation.
Red dots or berries symbolize plenty. Birds eat berries.
This might make a good present for someone who is trying to heal from something, or who is in the hospital. The notebook might be nice for someone who wants to record their healing journey.
If you want to mix and match, the background light blue color is: #daedf3
My little signature does not appear on pillows, duvets, blankets or shower curtains to keep in the tradition of home decor. On most other products it appears, particularly prints.
