Artist's Description
This is a field I loved to visit (before it got taken over by a development). It was always full of weeds and wildflowers. This was taken at the height of summer when all of the Queen Annes lace bloomed. In the middle of the photo you can see a butterfly and a few clovers.
It was a sacred spot for me. I would go there even at night to look at the moon or on a freezing night. Sometimes a herd of deer would lay down in these fields. I would hear coyotes yipping at night too. How I miss it.
About Lise Winne
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
