Description
Featured are three butterflies. One is a separate species from another, but all have some white in them. This piece features millefleurs, a type of treatment used in art during the Renaissance period, particularly for The Lady and the Unicorn and The Hunt of the Unicorn. William Morris was also famous for using it centuries later.
I started using it when I began my exploration into fantasy art, and have now produced a series called "The Millefleurs Series" located on this website.
Looks great on all of the various products available in my shop: prints, greeting cards, notebooks, pillows, duvets, blankets, tapestries, totes, mugs and more.
The original is for sale at this time at a gallery. Please inquire by contacting me if you are interested in purchasing the original.
