Depicted is a rabbit sleeping in a nest among yellow roses, blueberries, leaves and thorns. The border design is made up thorns with a blueberry attached.

The original was sold in February of 2019. The original was the center part of this piece (without the border) and was an ACEO (an ACEO is a work of art that is always 2.5" x 3.5").

SYMBOLISM:

* white rabbit: faithfulness, a great relationship with a partner that nothing can change, vulnerability, luck. A sleeping rabbit indicates restoration to take on challenges.
* nest: the home, safety, being taken care of
* yellow roses: friendship, joy, platonic love, optimism
* leaves: hope, revival, growth
* thorns: can either represent defense against the evil motives of others, or sadness and hardship
* blueberries: small blessings, a desire to recapture youth, eternal optimism, wanting happiness, escaping stress, a possible sign that people are out to ruin your happiness, health or optimis...

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
