I made this piece for home decor, particularly pillows, but it also looks good on tote bags and as a matching print on the wall. There is nothing controversial in the image, so it can go anywhere you need something with some details to break up the monotony or coldness of a wall or in an environment.
Turquoise is used a lot on spiritual places (it has similar meanings which stretch across the world), and some believe it inspires others to tell the truth, and to be in touch with the truth. Turquoise is as much of an energizing color as a calming color.
A lot of people use turquoise in their sun rooms, a bedroom, in a family room, in a meditation room, in a library, in a school, and in offices where healing takes place (doctor's offices, yoga centers, alternative medicine centers, surgery centers).
Blue is often a conservative color, and is said to inspire work, loyalty, stability and expertise. It slows human metabolism and calms.
Brown is said to inspire simplicity, health, stability and peace.
White, of course, is the color of innocence, benevolence and purity. Often doctors and nurses wear white. It can inspire trust from patients.
So in many ways, I think this design is geared towards decor for medical establishments, patients' rooms, and medical offices.
Detailed art work also brings a little of the outdoors indoors, as the outdoors has many details and visual stimulation compared to indoor spaces.
Featured are leaf-like shapes, a fan shape, heart shapes, diamond shapes, and a lot of swirls.
This design has some texture to it.
As is usual for home decor items, particularly pillows, duvets, blankets and shower curtains, I have removed my signature to keep in line with other home decor products. Items like prints, greeting cards and totes, still carry my signature.
If you want to mix this piece with some solid colored items, I have listed them below:
* dark blue turquoise background: #0d7c9a
* lighter turquoise (sample taken from lower middle lower border that is part of the design, not from the outside): #41a6a2
* darker brown: #904c49
* lighter brown: #917359
* cream color (in some of the swirls): #ffffe6
* white: a pure white
