For this design I was inspired by Turkish tiles - a little. The flowers are not something they would do, but I think the colors are, especially the turquoise, red and orange.
This design has a lot going on in it including diamond shapes, leaves, some abstract looking flowers, some round circles with spokes, stripes, red and brown dots, lots of swirls, and several borders within borders. It all sits on a tan border.
This piece is part of a series of abstract home decor designs. In this case, I took one design and gave them each a different treatment. Many of them have a dark background with a lighter design. This is the first I have tried with a light background darker design.
This design comes in a variety of home decor products here in my shop: pillows (even ones with a cotton covering), duvets, blankets, tapestry hangings and shower curtains.

I have shown my work in galleries and through juried shows at art centers and museums. Some notables include The Delaware Art Museum, Haverford Center of the Arts,...
