Featured is a white sheep in a garden of red flowers with hummingbirds arriving. There are also some wild flowers just beyond the interweaving of roses or poppies (you decide). Just over his hump is a celestial body or a sun (you decide). In the distance is a body of water with a series of hills (or mountains).
In this painting, the sheep is alone. He may have lost his flock, or they may be close by, but he doesn't appear discontented.
Symbols:
White sheep: innocence, gentleness, vulnerability, conformity, purity
Hummingbirds: joy, lightness of being, playfulness, independence, swift calling to action, lifts negative energy
Mountains: conquering, overcoming, hard work, expansion, willpower
Roses: promise, hope, new beginnings, passion, good intentions
Poppies: dreams, peace, transformation

About Lise Winne
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
